Founder Story
In 2008, Edgar Rivas established his own business, iTax Enterprises, with a focus on the small tax offices within the Hispanic community. From this effort of tailored customer care and word-of-mouth referrals, his hard work allowed iTax to flourish into a major success.
Edgar partnered with Dan Beckler in 2011 to create uTax Software. With their combined industry experience and shared knowledge and work ethic, they broadened their goals to servicing all tax offices and expanded their scope by offering critical tools to assist in the growth of their valued partners.
In 2018, uTax became the largest tax service bureau in the United States. This experience allowed for an expanded focus with an emphasis on helping smaller tax offices become successful multi-offices and service bureaus.
Edgar and Dan are rooted in small business with a vast understanding of the type of support small business owners need to succeed. As uTax continues to advance in the industry, Edgar and Dan remain true to their mission of empowering tax offices.
Together, along with the uTax Senior Leadership Team and it’s many years of tax industry experience, they work together to shape the future and guides the company toward its strategic goals.
